Integral Ecology in Action

Research and Projects:

	Drishti: Centre for Integral Action Drishti is working with a variety of organizations helping them use the integral model to support various projects in Canada and abroad. They focus on research and writing, public engagement, community development, and art and ecology.
	Slocan Integral Forestry Cooperative Next Step Integral, an international non-profit, was established in 2003 by Stephan Martineau. 	One Sky: Canadian Institute of Sustainable Living One Sky—Canadian Institute for Sustainable Living recently received a $500,000 grant from the Canadian International Development Agency for a three-year leadership development project entitled, “Integral Applications to Sustainability in the Niger Delta.” Building on previous work it had done in Nigeria, One Sky was aware of the value of interventions associated with the Right-Hand quadrants such as “development, financial management, improved communications, and policy influence.” More...
	Teleosis Institute The Teleosis Institute's Green Pharmacy Program is helping communities safely dispose of expired medicines. Our goal is ZERO pharmaceutical waste in our environment! We provide a network of take-back sites and events to collect unwanted medicines from the public for free and safe disposal.
	Integral City Integral City, founded by Marilyn Hamilton, uses the Integral Framework and Spiral Dynamics to design ecologically informed and operationally sound change in cities. In 2008, Marilyn published Integral City: Evolutionary Intelligences for the Human Hive, a book that explores emergent intelligences of the city using the bee hive as a whole systems metaphor. Marilyn is based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada.

	Permaforest Trust The Permaforest Trust, a non-profit sustainability center located on the east coast of Australia, was established in 1998 by Tim Winton. The center is situated on a 100-acre property of organic gardens, regenerating rainforest, eco-forestry and permaculture systems. Educational programs focus on Accredited Permaculture Training and related programs in sustainability practice. Integral Theory serves as the primary practice, philosophy and basic approach of the center.
